How to Create System Users

The system implements a role-based control model to restrict access to system features for authorized users only. This approach allows creation of multiple custom user roles with granular definition of permissions to specific objects or activities.

1. Create Role
Settings > Roles > Add Role

The Role is defined by the functions of the system user, i.e. what permissions the user needs to be granted in the system. The role name should give a hint of the functions of this Role, i.e. Administrator, Operator, NOC, etc.  The role limit is the number of system users that can be assigned to this role.

2. Assign Permission
Settings > Roles > Administrators > Assign Permissions

Here you have to select the permissions to be added to each system role. There is a possibility to choose View, Add, Edit and Delete for each item in the menus and submenus of the system.

3. Create System User
Settings > System Users > Add System User

Every system user has an individual login credentials in the system.

Set the username and password which will be used by the user to log in the system. Add First name, last name, E-mail and Phone number.

Click Submit Button.

Settings > System Users > Edit User > Roles

Here you assign to users their roles from the ones you have already created – by assigning a role you define the permissions these users will have in the system.

Settings > System Users > Edit User > User Password

This is where the system user (or any other system user with the proper permissions) can change the password of the user.
